Official controller features
The current Steam listing checked on August 23 marks full controller support and gamepad recommended. It also names DualShock and DualSense support. These are store-level facts and make a controller the intended input option rather than an unsupported workaround.
Official patch 1.0.04 (August 22, 2026) added button rebinding for gamepads. That is a named change in the developer post; it does not document every bindable action, glyph set or whether keyboard remaps changed in the same patch.
“Full controller support” normally means the game is designed to be operated without switching to a keyboard for ordinary play. It does not guarantee that every launcher dialog, operating-system permission prompt or future patch behaves identically, so current-build testing still matters.
DualShock and DualSense
Steam lists DualShock and DualSense compatibility. That confirms the controller families, but the store metadata does not specify which optional features—adaptive triggers, advanced haptics, speaker audio or model-specific glyphs—are active. Do not turn a general support tag into a claim about a specific hardware feature.
For the clearest first test:
- Connect one controller before launching the game.
- Keep one Steam Input profile active; avoid stacking third-party remappers.
- Confirm movement, camera, pause, inventory and ability selection.
- Compare on-screen prompts with the physical buttons.
- Test a save, quit and resume cycle before changing bindings.
Steam Input and other controllers
Full controller support does not list every supported make and model. Xbox-style, Switch-style and generic pads may work directly or through Steam Input, but exact glyphs and vibration cannot be claimed from the Akatori store page alone.
If a pad is detected twice, disable either the external remapper or Steam Input for that test—never both at once. If prompts switch rapidly between keyboard and controller, check for stick drift or a second connected device sending input.
Steam Deck status
No official Deck Verified, Playable or Unsupported rating was confirmed in the source checked on August 23. A game can support controllers and still need review for text size, on-screen keyboard use, launcher behavior, graphics defaults, performance and suspend/resume.
The published PC requirements—Windows 10 64-bit, 6 GB RAM minimum, a GT 740-class GPU and 10 GB storage—do not establish Linux/Proton compatibility. Consult Valve’s compatibility panel after the release instead of treating hardware estimates as a rating.
What to test on launch day
- Can every menu be reached without a mouse?
- Do prompts match DualShock, DualSense or the chosen Steam Input layout?
- Does vibration behave consistently after pause and resume?
- Are sensitivity and remapped buttons saved?
- On Steam Deck, does Valve show a compatibility badge and issue list?
