Akatori quick start for the released PC build

A source-backed Akatori first-session checklist covering staff combat, gliding, wall hooks, world traversal and the Amber Storm premise, with demo-era evidence labelled.

Quick Answer

Start by treating the staff as both weapon and traversal tool. Practise ground and aerial attacks, gliding and wall-hooking in the released game when available; keep demo-era route details separate until tested.

Checkpoint

Learn the staff's basic rhythm

Test ground, aerial, throw and recall attacks in the current build before hunting for a damage build.

Step 2

Use movement as part of combat

Gliding, sliding and wall-hooking are documented traversal functions; exact release-build inputs still need your own test.

Step 3

Look for mechanisms

The staff also interacts with tricky mechanisms and secret places, so revisit paths after upgrades.

Leave map completion for later

Full routes and ability order are not verified by this source-only guide; record them separately after playing.

One item, three jobs

Akatori’s staff is the cleanest thing to practise first: it handles combat, traversal and environmental interaction. In the current PC build, test one move in a safe space, then use the same move to cross a gap or reach a mechanism. The older Steam demo is evidence for named mechanics, not a promise about the final route.

The abilities guide lists only shown functions. The map progression page keeps route advice conservative until a release-build playthrough is recorded.
